Leah's journey began in the small town of Marchand, PA. Growing up, she went with her family to church and Bible study, every Sunday. At 12yo, Leah attended a revival and went up to the altar to ask Jesus to be the Lord of her life. She considered this the most important and cherished memory of her childhood and was very proud of herself.
Leah attended Punxsutawney High School, where she excelled as a member of the Honor Society (graduated 3rd in her class), the Pep Club, the Thespian Club and she spent quite a bit of her time tutoring other students and helping them to achieve better grades, she loved helping other people. After falling in love with her high school sweetheart, William Calvin Haire, Leah embarked on a lifelong journey filled with love, laughter and adventure. Together, they shared 65yrs of marriage, supporting each other through every challenge and triumph that life brought. Leah found great fulfillment in her work as a Legal Assistant and Bank Teller but her greatest joy in life came from raising her children, Richard William Haire and Stephen Ira Haire in Youngstown, OH.
In 2003, Leah and Bill relocated to Clearwater, FL to enjoy time with their Grandchildren, whom they loved immensely. Andrew, Sarah, Alexander and Katherine loved their Grandma and Grandpa, so very much. Leah's heart swelled with joy when Greyson, her first Great Grandson entered the world. One of her fondest memories was going to Italy on an unforgettable trip with her family.
Leah Carolyn Haire's legacy of love, kindness, unwavering devotion and fierce loyalty to her family, friends and to the Lord will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She will miss her amazing condo friends from Colonial Isles, her Reds Baseball Family and all her baseball friends, her community, hometown friends and her favorite restaurant, Alfano's in Clearwater.
