

Born on April 9, 1963, in Blue Island, Illinois, Kim was the daughter of Jack and Mary “Kay” Heim. She grew up as one of seven children and shared a close bond with her siblings throughout her life.
Kim dedicated 16 years of service to Publix, where she worked as a Deli Clerk before retiring. She was known for her warm smile, strong work ethic, and kindhearted nature. Outside of work, Kim was an avid reader who found joy in getting lost in a good book. More than anything, she treasured time spent with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to her life.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mary “Kay” Heim, and her brother, Tim Heim.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 26 years, Roy S. Smoak; twin sons, Joshua Smoak and Jordan Smoak; stepchildren, Karissa L. McCabe (John) and Rikki A. Fletcher (Chris); siblings, Jeff Heim, Bill Heim, Bob Heim, Kevin Heim, and Lisa Heim; and eight cherished grandchildren. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her love, kindness, and gentle spirit.
Kim will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her love of reading, her caring heart, and the countless memories she created with those she loved. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and in the family she cherished so dearly.
