

Karen Kay Eaton, 80, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on March 26, 1945, in Mullinville, Kansas, Karen was the cherished daughter of the late John William Stapleton and Orva Belle (Kilgore) Stapleton.
Karen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She shared 59 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Robert K. Eaton, whom she married on March 5, 1966. Together, they built a life centered on love, faith, and family.
Bob and Karen also shared a passion for their work and entrepreneurial spirit. Together, they founded and successfully ran Eaton Marketing, a foodservice rep company based in Clearwater, Florida, for 20 years. Their hard work and partnership made a lasting impact in the industry and within their community.
She is survived by her loving children: Robyn Souza (Randy), Kelli Flowers (Jeff), and Kevin Eaton (Kay). Karen was a proud grandmother to Kari Rinehart, Kelsey Souza, Katharine Eaton, Keaton Souza, Rachel Eaton, and Kenzie Souza, and a doting great-grandmother to Weston O’Connor. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Loretta Muston, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who adored her. Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Randy Stapleton.
A faithful member of Calvary Chapel Tarpon Springs, Karen’s deep and abiding faith was evident in the way she lived her life—full of grace, kindness, and compassion. She had a gentle spirit, a warm heart, and a smile that made everyone feel welcome and loved. Her presence was a blessing to all who knew her.
Karen's legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and church community. She will be dearly missed, but her memory will be a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of life will be held at Calvary Chapel Palm Harbor, 32676 US Hwy 19 N., Palm Harbor, FL 34684 on July 12th at 1:30 PM. Followed by a reception at Eaton Marketing 5325 115th Ave N., Clearwater, FL 33760.
