Joe was born on February 27th, 1947, in Burlington, New Jersey, to John C. and Anna Shinske. He graduated from New Jersey schools in 1967 and spent many years helping his father cultivate blueberries and cranberries on the family's farm.
In 1974, Joe relocated to Florida, where he built a career working in security. He was a devoted sports fan who especially enjoyed cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and 76ers. His loyalty to his favorite teams and his love of sports brought him great enjoyment throughout his life.
Joe never married and is survived by his brother, John Shinske (Carol); his sister, Karen DiLullo; his nieces, Karlena Wilson and Katie Dean; and his great-nephews, Connor Dean, Christopher Dean, and Sawyer Wilson.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Peterborough Apartments and their dedicated healthcare workers for the compassionate care and kindness they provided to Joe.
A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family.
