Jerry Allen Ausanio, 76, passed away on September 10, 2026. Born and raised in Kingston, New York, Jerry was the middle child of Genaro and Muriel Ausanio. Growing up, he shared a special bond with his younger brother, Jimmy. The two were close from an early age and could often be found getting into all kinds of mischief together, creating stories and memories that would last a lifetime.
Jerry was a hardworking man and the proud owner of Agape’ Air Conditioning, a well-respected business he operated for more than 20 years. In his earlier years, he loved cruising on his motorcycle and taking early morning walks along the beach. He had a quick wit, loved making people laugh, and was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back.
Above all, Jerry loved his family. He always wanted to spoil his daughter, Tina, whether he could afford to or not, and never missed an opportunity to proudly show off his family. Becoming “Poppy” to Parker and Mara brought him tremendous joy, and he loved his grandchildren dearly.
His family will always smile remembering Jerry calling out, “Hallelujah Check!” and waiting for the familiar response, “Praise the Lord!” They will also carry on the words passed down from his father that Jerry loved to say: “I don’t like you… I LOVE you!”
Jerry is survived by his wife, Holly Ausanio; his daughter, Tina Marie Houghtaling, and her husband, Kent; his beloved grandchildren, Parker and Mara; his brother, James “Jimmy” Ausanio and his wife Marie; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Anthony Ausanio; his parents, Genaro and Muriel Ausanio; and his brother, Justin Ausanio.
Jerry will always be remembered for his humor, his generosity, his hard work, and most of all, the tremendous love and pride he had for his family.
Hallelujah Check.
Praise the Lord.
