It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of J. Keith Sutton. Keith was born on October 11, 1951, and passed in his home on June 24, 2024. Keith was born in Xenia, Ohio, but his love for new places and experiences would lead him to reside in various cities throughout Ohio, California, and Florida. That same adventurous spirit grew into a love for travel that took him all over the world, creating many travel memories with friends.
Keith graduated from Xenia High School in 1969 and went on to earn his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Keith excelled in his professional field of marketing and advertising, and his natural leadership skills shone in both professional and personal spheres of life. Whether on the shuffle board court or serving as president of his HOA, Keith enjoyed leveraging his talents for the good of those around him.
Keith settled in sunny Florida, spending many years in Pompano Beach, then most recently, St. Petersburg. Keith’s love for dogs, specifically Schnauzers, transcended geography! He was a proud “Papa” to seven Schnauzers throughout his life, most recently his beloved Liza.
Keith is preceded in death by his parents, Carl G. and Arnelda A. Sutton, and is survived by his sisters Cindy Batres (Manuel), Debbie Michal (Rob), half-brother Richard Sutton (Marsha), half-sister SueLynn Harris, and many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.
No formal services will be held, according to Keith’s expressed wishes.
