Francisco Pablos

Francisco Pablos, 65, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026, at his home in Tarpon Springs, Florida, in the loving arms of his wife of sixteen years, Lisa Pablos. He bravely faced a nine-year battle with Benson Syndrome, a rare form of Alzheimer’s disease, with the same grace, courage, and quiet strength that defined every part of his life.

Francisco was a kind and humble man whose quiet faith touched everyone who knew him. He was born on November 13, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Carlos and Lydia Pablos. Although his life began in the busy heart of a northern city, Florida became his true home. He cherished the warmth and beauty of the Gulf Coast, especially its spectacular sunsets and the simple pleasures of a casual, coastal life.

An accomplished and passionate athlete, Francisco embraced life with energy and determination. Running, cycling, and multisport competition were among his greatest passions. He competed in more than 100 races throughout his life, placing in more than 90% percent of them. His athletic accomplishments reflected not only his physical ability, but also the discipline, perseverance, and commitment he brought to everything he undertook.

Francisco was equally dedicated to his education and professional life. While working full-time and raising a family, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His education became the foundation for a distinguished career in public service.

Francisco served as an analyst and bank examiner for federal government agencies, including the Federal Reserve and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). He later brought his considerable talent, knowledge, and commitment to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), an agency dedicated to protecting consumers from unfair, deceptive, and abusive practices in the financial sector. Throughout his career, Francisco used his gifts in service to others and to the public good.

A memorial service celebrating Francisco’s life will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Fred Howard Park, Pavilion #6, in Tarpon Springs, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and continuing until sunset. Light refreshments will be provided.

In keeping with Francisco’s love of Florida and its beautiful coastline, the family requests that guests come dressed in beach attire.

Francisco was predeceased by his father, Carlos Pablos.

He is survived by his beloved wife of sixteen years, Lisa Pablos; his mother, Lydia Pablos; his brother, Victor Pablos (Barbara); his daughter, Bianca Pablos; and his stepsons, Charles O. Patton IV, Austin Cristobal Patton, and Nicolas Hunter Patton.
