Edna ‘Sis’ (Dailey) Manhard was born February 16, 1928 in Buffalo, NY. Shortly after graduating from her alma mater, Riverside High, she met and married the love of her life, John Manhard. They were blessed with four children: Jack, Kathy, Bob and Linda, 3 grand children; Travis, Tina, and Dominick, and 3 great children; Coral, Colt, and Clayton Henry. Sis never missed an opportunity to have her kids, friends and family gather round the table for get-togethers, holidays and just a good old-fashioned party.
Sis moved into Mainlands 20+ years ago. She built long- lasting friendships through her volunteerism with the local DAV and always stayed ever so busy, busy, busy by helping out her Unit III buddies with dance tickets, Kaffee Klatches, Yellow phone books, Block Captains, and the like. She deeply cherished the time she shared with her friends and we know she never met a stranger on her daily jaunts around the neighborhood.
Sis left us on Saturday, September 26 after a very unexpected, but thankfully brief, battle with cancer. The family knows how much her very good friends here in Mainlands will miss her smile, sense of humor and joy she brought to everyone she touched.
Cards and notes may be sent to Linda Licarde, 1401 43rd Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL, 33703. Services will be private.
The family would like to plan a celebration of her life when we are all comfortable with having such gatherings. We tentatively plan for this event to honor her birthday weekend in Feb. 2021.
God bless, Jack, Kathy, Bob & Linda
