Dolores Jean Martin

Dolores Jean Martin passed on March 14, 2023 in Safety Harbor, FL at the age of 90. Jean was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 24, 1932. She left Evansville at the age of 19 and moved to Florida. In the early 60s, she moved to California and stayed there until 1985, when she moved back to Florida. She was a proud woman and excelled at everything she did. She worked for the Chino Institution for Men in California and received many awards for her work. She also worked at Sears for many years, both in California and Florida. She was a wonderful mother who loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She traveled all over the country and her favorite activity was going to Las Vegas and Biloxi. She loved the slot machines. She always loved animals and once she retired, Zoe came into her life and kept her going. Jean was predeceased by her spouse, Craig Martin, son, Steve Hodges, parents, David and Marie Hargett, and brothers, Donald, Bob, Jack and Bill Hargett. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Pierce (Ron), grandson, Kyle Odom, granddaughter Kaitlin Pierce, 2 brothers, Jerry and Jim Hargett, 1 sister, Sharon Carr, and her dog, Zoe.
