Deborah Anne Peters died on September 26, 2022 in St. Petersburg, Florida at the age of 68. Deborah was born in Wareham, Massachusetts on December 12, 1953 to Allen F. Peters and Janet Peters. Deborah moved from Cape Cod with her 5 siblings and parents to St. Petersburg in 1968. Upon graduation from Notre Dame Academy, Deborah moved to Tallahassee, FL to attend Florida State University. She was an avid writer and dreamed of one day being an author. Deborah pursued that dream joining the staff at the St. Pete Times (Tampa Bay Times) upon moving back to St. Pete. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Florida in 1993. She later became part of the St. Anthony’s Hospital staff in their Medical Records Department where she retired from in 2019. Deborah continued her love of language by writing short stories and being an avid reader. She worked with several local organizations to rescue cats in the area and find them homes.
Deborah is survived by her daughter, Michelle Christina Cons. She is preceded in death by her partner, Alicia Olazabal, father, Allen F. Peters, and sister, Cheryl Marie Hill.
