David William Lambert

July 22, 1965 – April 25, 2026
Obituary of David William Lambert
David William Lambert, 60, of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away on April 25, 2026, in Clearwater, Florida after a two-year ferocious fight with cancer.

David was born on July 22 in Washington, D.C., and moved to Clearwater, Florida in 1972, where he was raised by his loving parents, Patricia and David Lambert, alongside his three sisters, Melody, Lisa, and Michele. He graduated from Clearwater High School in 1983, where he was a standout football player, and was actively involved in Sky Crest Methodist Church during his youth.

David was a lifelong learner, earning his Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degrees, and completing all coursework toward his Doctoral degree while bravely facing his battle with cancer. His determination and perseverance were an inspiration to all who knew him.

Above all else, David was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Wendy, whom he cherished deeply. He was a proud and dedicated father to his sons, Justin, Michael, Kyle, and Alec, and his love for his family was the center of his life.

David found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved taking drives in his yellow Dodge Charger Hemi with the windows down and the top open, embracing the freedom of the open road. He also loved the beach, where he would walk along the shore searching for shark teeth and enjoying the peace and beauty of the ocean.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Lambert, and his older sister, Melody. He is survived by his father, David Lambert; his beloved wife, Wendy; his sons, Justin, Michael, Kyle, and Alec; and his sisters, Lisa and Michele.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on Sunday, May 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Ozona Blue in Ozona Palm Harbor. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his honor to a cancer research non-profit of your choice.

David will be remembered for his strength, his love for his family, and the way he embraced life with warmth and determination. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
