David Stuart Allan

David Allan, aka Spanky, passed away November 20th, 2022, in St. Petersburg, Florida, with his wife and two children by his side. Spanky was born on August 10th, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan. He grew up in Milford and graduated from Milford High School, later attending Northern Michigan University and obtaining a bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology. He was owner and operator of David Allan Masonry for 40+ years. He married his wife, Kathy, in 1978 and they had two children, Andrew and Jodie. Spanky was an avid golfer and a member of Marquette Country Club since its inception. He also enjoyed time in Florida, snow skiing, spending time with loved ones and watching his three beautiful grandchildren grow up. He is survived by his wife, Kathy of St Petersburg; two children, Andrew (Christine Clifford) of Marquette and Jodie (Cody Metty) of Phoenix; three grandchildren Ava Allan, Parker Metty and Mollie Metty; his brothers George (JoHanna) and Jim; sister Marlu (Scott Stallard); and several nieces, nephews and close in-laws. He is preceded in death by his father, William, and mother, Effie. A celebration of life will be planned for the summer of 2023 in Marquette.
