

Daniel Hanson Woodall (Dan) was born in Leakesville, Mississippi on October 21, 1945 and passed away in St. Petersburg, Florida on February 16, 2024 at the age of 78. Dan served in the US Navy as a Sonar Technician during the Vietnam War era where he traveled, immersed himself in his love for technology and science fiction writing, and met his wife Marlene while stationed in New Jersey. Dan volunteered for numerous charitable organizations for the blind and disabled throughout his lifetime and could always be found assisting those in need. In the 70’s and 80’s, he was an avid CB Radio enthusiast. Using the CB radio handle “Diver Dan” he made friends and experienced wonderful adventures with those friends. After his wife Marlene passed away, Dan retired from a successful career as an Electronics Technician. He lived in Pennsylvania and Alabama close by family and then fulfilled his lifelong dream of permanently moving to Florida. Dan shared the remainder of his life in Florida with his beloved fiancé Camilla.
Dan is survived by his fiancé Camilla Salo. He is survived by two children Christine Woodall and Diane Bollard (Woodall) and three grandchildren Eric Bollard, Evan Bollard, and Donnie Bollard. Dan is also survived by siblings Otis Woodall Jr. and Wanda Reed (Woodall).
Dan is preceded in death by his wife Marlene Woodall (Brinkofski), and by his siblings Jerry Woodall Sr., Alan Glenn Woodall, and David Woodall.
