Charles "Charlie" B. Linton

Charlie was a graduate of the University of Alabama and earned a degree in hospital administration from George Washington University. He had an amazing career in the healthcare business, working as an administrator and a consultant to improve his clients' hospitals. From Evansville, Indiana, to Sydney, Australia, he developed the skills and insight that made him a top consultant in his later years.

Charlie cherished dinners and lunches with his friends, which brought him the warmth and love that always made him smile. He loved when his sons and daughters visited and walked with him to lunch or dinner—as long as everyone ate before 6:30 at night. There was always a walk to Publix for something; though, truth be told, I think he just enjoyed wearing his hats. He also deeply appreciated the kindness of the staff at his condo and frequently spoke of how wonderful they were to him.

He is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey Daniel Linton and his wife, Natasha Linton (Barrett), and Gregory Bascum Linton and his wife, Margaret Ann Linton (Rager); seven grandchildren, Charles Franklin Linton, Michelle Rene Linton Weaver, Nicholas Ryan Linton, Alexander Bascum Linton, Wesley Barrett Linton, Laura Elizabeth Linton, and Samantha Clare Linton; and three great-grandchildren, Natalie Prater, Victoria Weaver, and Walker Linton.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, George Ragland Linton and Mary Zelfry Atchison Linton; half-sister, Mary Geneva Linton (Burleson); sisters, Eula Eloise Linton (Brawley) and Peggy Jean Linton (Graves); and brothers, George Arnold Linton and Patrick Hugo Linton.

Charlie was blessed to see his family grow over the last 45 years and took great joy in hearing about his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We will dearly miss the smile that always greeted those stories.
