Carol lived much of her life in Pennsylvania, where she met her husband of 47 years. She worked as a customer service representative in the insurance, electronics, automotive, and banking industries. At their home in Downingtown, PA, Carol grew flowers and vegetables, often “rescuing” neglected plants on sale at the hardware store. Having been born in Plant City and raised on her parents’ farm in Lithia, Carol had a love of gardening and animals. She and her family sometimes took in stray or abandoned animals, especially cats. She also enjoyed traveling to Ireland, the UK, and enjoyed vacationing in New Orleans, Austin, the Outer Banks, and sailing on the Chesapeake Bay.
Before returning to live in Lithia in 2021, she and her husband made frequent road trips from Pennsylvania to Florida with Carol as the navigator. In Lithia, she often visited Lithia Springs and Alderman’s Ford and told stories about what the area was like when she was growing up - including attending school at Pinecrest when it was only one single building with grades 7 through 12. She always enjoyed looking through year books and remembering friends and acquaintances. More than anything, Carol enjoyed the simple things like the Florida weather, watching the clouds and walking daily to “get her steps” in. She was a kind, caring and gentle person and will be missed by all who knew her.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil L. and Elva Jeanette Hall; sister, Ellen Team, and brother, Frank Hall. She is survived by her husband Allen, and son, Lee.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to the American Cancer Society.
