Brian Lee Lamb passed away peacefully in Largo, Florida, on July 7, 2025, with his beloved wife and extended family by his side. Born in Oregon and raised in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City, Brian enlisted in the United States Army as a senior in high school. He studied journalism and broadcasting and spent much of his career reporting from around the world. He was based in Germany for most of his service and retired as a Sergeant First Class.
In 2024, Brian was recognized for his service and dedication to the U.S. Army by the Honour Flight of West Central Florida. He spent a meaningful day in Washington, D.C., touring the memorials with his grandson.
Brian was an avid reader and writer who loved crossword puzzles. He was known as a gentle and kind soul, with a beautiful singing voice cherished in his community. He met his beloved wife, Marilyn, of 30 years at karaoke. Together, they shared a life full of music and were known for hosting unforgettable karaoke parties.
Brian and Marilyn were longtime residents of Dunedin, Florida, until Hurricane Helene sadly forced them to relocate to Largo. Fond memories of Grandpa Brian include him sitting in his lounge chair by the pool, watching the news, cheering for the Buccaneers, or enjoying a blockbuster movie.
Brian is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Barbara Lamb and Debbie Wilson (Charlie); son Joseph Ogonowski (Melissa); grandchildren Matthew, Brooke, Nicole, Anna Mary, Andrew, Joey, Pedro, Diego, and Kat; and great-grandchildren Athena (AJ) and Finn.
