Beth Ellen Small

Beth Ellen Small aka Elizabeth Ellen Stanger, 77, passed away at Northside hospital on September 24, 2026, surrounded by her family and friends. Beth was born on April 7, 1949, in Redhook, New York to George and Anne Stanger. She graduated from John Jay high school and worked for Long Island College hospital, Bar and Bar construction, and Approved Oil.

She married Donald Small on October 2,1993 and together they lived in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, N.Y. until moving to St. Petersburg, Florida in 2010 where Beth was on the board as the director.

Beth and Donald enjoyed traveling and seeing different places, especially cruises. They enjoyed meeting new people everywhere they went. They enjoyed their morning drives to Dunkin’ Donuts to get coffee to take to the park for walks and talk to the park rangers. They enjoyed Breakfast at Benedicts where they made more friends! Mom's favorite saying was “just smile!”

Beth is predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald Small. She is survived by her daughters, Anne (Lonny) and Laura (Seth); grandchildren, Faith, Hope, Christopher, and Kayla; sister, Gladys; brother, Glenn, and many nieces and nephews.
