-- Entered our realm on February 21, 1925
-- Left our physical Earth space on Sunday, November 14, 2021, peacefully, in her sleep, at her home for the past 20 years in Largo, Florida.
Lisa was born in Munich, Germany. She studied to be a Secretary and Translator, skills she excelled in. She experienced living through World War II in her youth. She moved to Switzerland and Belgium, before coming to New York. She worked as a Secretary, Executive Assistant, and Translator for numerous companies and organizations overseas and in New York.
In 1970, Lisa married her war-time sweetheart John "Steve" Kapocsi, after which they made Florida their home. She worked for the Circulation Department at the St. Petersburg Times for 14 years and retired from her beloved job in 1986.
She enjoyed traveling, building with Legos, setting up and running her LGB train set, playing Skip-Bo, and doing crossword puzzles. Her annual trips to Helen, GA's Oktoberfest, with her daughter, were a highlight, giving her a taste of the music, food, and ambiance of her homeland, as well as providing a beautiful change in scenery.
Although Lisa was generally a private person, she loved all her family, whether in Germany, Canada, Florida, Las Vegas, Michigan, Kentucky, California, or Texas, not to mention where all the extended family members are. She was very happy in the community she lived in and would gladly reminisce to her friends and family about her life with interesting and colorful stories.
Anna Lisa is survived by her daughter, Isabelle and husband Wayne Whitley, of Inverness, and her beloved grandchildren, Lea and Gregory, who she adored and was able to see regularly.
To her family and friends: "I am not dead, I only changed the scene. I live within you, And wander through your dreams." Michelango.
She loved carnations, tulips, and sunflowers. Alternatively, donations in her memory to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah or Friends of Strays in St. Petersburg, are also appreciated.
