It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gail Kennerly Hedrick of Charlotte, North Carolina, on November 13, 2025. She was predeceased many years ago by her beloved husband, George W. Hedrick.
Gail was a devoted mother of three and a proud, caring grandmother. Family was at the center of her life—she cherished weekends spent together over dinners, visits, and evenings watching the Game Show Network.
Her favorite time of year was Christmas, a season she celebrated with unmatched joy and creativity. Gail’s home became a dazzling winter wonderland each year, filled with her treasured collection of decorations and Christmas trees. Her grandchildren, especially when they were young, delighted in the magical atmosphere she created.
Beyond her love of family and the holidays, Gail enjoyed the excitement of casinos, where her remarkable luck often shone. Vacations spent gambling together brought laughter and lasting memories. She also had a passion for cruising, traveling two to three times a year with loved ones. Most recently, she embarked on a three-week journey through the British Isles and Iceland—a trip filled with joy and unforgettable moments.
Gail took immense pride in her three grandchildren, celebrating their achievements and guiding them with love and wisdom. Throughout her life, she remained a steadfast source of support for her children, always ready to listen and offer advice.
She is survived by her sons, Todd Hedrick and his wife Kellie, Jason Hedrick, and her daughter, Kelly Hedrick. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Alex Hedrick, Torrie Hedrick, and Abbie Hedrick. Gail was preceded in death by her brother, Ron Kennerly.
Her passing leaves an irreplaceable void in our lives. Gail will be remembered with love, gratitude, and admiration—for her devotion to family, her vibrant spirit, and the countless memories she gave us. She cannot be replaced, but she will forever live on in our hearts.
