Tonja (Burlingame) Bissonnette

Tonja (Burlingame) Bissonnette, November 9, 1946 - March15, 2023, Formerly of Linden and Swartz Creek. No services will be held. Tonja, age76, passed away at her daughter's home in Clio on March 15th, 2023 after a 3 year struggle with Alzheimer’s. She graduated from Linden High School in 1965 and married Norman Bissonnette October 16, 1965 at St John's Catholic Church in Fenton. They had 2 children together, Michele (Bissonnette) Flint and Martin Bissonnette. She worked 10 years at McLaren hospital in Flint as a nurse. Tanja’s favorite pastime in her retirement years was her 3 dogs Bella, Blue, and Gizmo. She enjoyed 2 great anniversary cruises to the Bahamas and Hawaii with her husband, her brother in law, Phillip Bissonnette and wife Carolyn. Tonja is survived by her husband of 58 years, Norman; Daughter, Michele and Husband Jeff Flint; Son, Martin Bissonnette and Tyler Bissonnette (Martin's son). She enjoyed spending time with her 10 grandchildren; Jacob Purcell, Jess Knopp, Bri Flint, Kayla Flint, Cameron Flint, Jessica Flint, Noel Flint, Sami Flint, James Flint, Tyler Bissonnette and 11 Great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Freda Burlingame and her 2 best friends Bella and Blue, her beloved dogs.
