Roy was born on September 12,1949 in Grand Haven, MI to parents Arthur Roy and Pearl Ann (Landon) Hierholzer. Roy graduated from Grand Haven High School in 1967, Grand Haven, MI. Following High School, Roy attended Muskegon Community College and earned a degree in Business. Roy continued his education with the IBEW Union and became a Master Electrician. Roy retired from Butterworth Hospital in 2014 as a Project Manager in Facilities. Roy was a lifetime member of Grand Haven Elks. He was a member at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder.
In his spare time Roy enjoyed playing golf at Terra Verde with the Stan’s Golf League, traveling golf league from work and Church league. Roy’s favorite golf partner was his father-in-law, Frank (Hank) Augsbach.)
Roy is survived by his wife Beth (Augsbach) Hierholzer of 55 years, Daughter Lesley (Steve) Church, and Granddaughter Emma Pearl Van Valin. Sisters Shirley Gould and Mary Mc Norton.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents and brother James Hierholzer.
Memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 26, at the Spring Lake Presbyterian Church in Spring Lake, MI. Meet the family at 10:30 with service at 11:00 followed by a luncheon.
Roy was loved by many and will be missed deeply.
