Ronald James Sturgis

Ronald James Sturgis, age 65, born August 24, 1957 in Flint, Michigan, passed away in Grand Blanc, Michigan. He was the son of Richard and Margaret (Sventko) Sturgis.

On Sept. 23, 1978, he married Janice (Mayberry) Sturgis. Together they had two sons Ron and Jason.

Ron served in USMC, received awards in expert marksmanship and good conduct. He loved his family, hunting, fishing, gardening, playing the drums and Rock-n-Roll!

He is survived by and truly loved by his wife Janice; sons, Ron (Sadie) Sturgis and Jason (Maggie) Sturgis, and his most loved grandsons, Keaton and Landon; his siblings Carol Wezell, Richard (Kathleen), John (Patty) and Judy (Tim) Hohn; nieces and nephews Jim, Richard, Warren, Lisa, Jennifer, Chad, Nichole, John, Matt and Chelsea. As well as many other cousins and family members; special friends Debbie and Michelle.

Ron was preceded in passing by parents Richard and Margaret Sturgis and too many passed loved ones to mention.

United States Military Funeral with Marine Honors will be held on June 14, 2023 at 9:30am at Great Lakes National Cemetery at 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442.
