Rachel Elizabeth Rogers

Rachel was born in Pontiac, Michigan on September 25, 1971 to Kerry Eugene (Martha) Rogers and Bonnie L. (Larry) Price. From an early age, she enjoyed music and sports and cared deeply for those around her.

She attended Pontiac Central High School and proudly graduated with the Class of 1989. She went on to graduate summa cum laude with a BA in Business Administration from Cleary University. She further pursued her education receiving a Master of Business Management degree with a focus on Public Health Administration from Walsh College.

Rachel dedicated much of her life to senior care, where her compassion and genuine love for others made a lasting difference. Over the years, many of the seniors she cared for became much more than people she looked after - they became a second family. Some long-standing senior care appointments were with "Old Guy" (Mr. Hampton) who referred to her as his "Mouse" and Mr. Dave who called her his "best friend."

Rachel was the life of any get-together and was often involved in the planning of events. She loved Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson, and Michael Jackson, but she was always ready for a good jam session when the music was right. She had an unmistakable sense of style, including her nails, which were always on point, and her Converse that she rocked like a champ. Rachel was a big University of Michigan fan (Go Wolverines!) and proud fan of the Detroit Lions (even when they weren't performing at their best). Rachel brought personality, laughter, and energy wherever she went.

Her friends and family were an especially important part of her life. She was blessed with a wonderful circle of friends, including lifelong friendships that began during her Pontiac Central High School years. Her connection with her Class of 1989 remained strong throughout her life, and those friendships continued to bring her joy, laughter, and memories. She had an especially close relationship with her surviving sister in Michigan, Wendi, and her family and her relationship with her parents was a very special part of her life before their passing.

Rachel was preceded in death by her father, Kerry Eugene Rogers; her mother, Bonnie L. Price; and her sisters, Sara Aniece Rogers and Rebekah Lee Rogers.

She is survived by her second mother, Martha Jo Rogers; second father Larry Price; her sisters, Wendi Jo (Jeffrey) Williams and Sarah (Matthew) Perkins; her brother, John Rogers; and her sister, Hannah Rogers. She is also survived by a special adopted aunt, Chris Smith, as well as nieces and nephews who were very dear to her: Ashley (Yuri) Goga, Krystle (Maximino) Rodriguez, Jessica Kellar, Madeline Perkins, and Joseph Perkins.

Rachel was a Christian and of the Baptist denomination and we look forward to seeing her again in heaven.

Rachel leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, friendship, music, style, and the many lives she touched throughout her years. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, former seniors and their families, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on August 26, 2026, at Community Bible Church, 1888 Crescent Lake Rd., Waterford, MI 48327, with Pastor Tom Hampton officiating.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or to the family in Rachel's honor.
