Peggy was Born February 20, 1944 in Warren, MI to George and Violet Bradshaw (Lewis). Peggy attended Centerline High school and even before Graduation she worked for ISI Manufacturing as a bookkeeper. That is where she met her future Husband, David, and married. Peggy soon left the Bookkeeping position and became a homemaker and Mother. Peggy was a mother to any child who walked through the door. Many called her “Mom” or “Peggy Mom.” You could set a clock by the moment she announced dinner was ready, without question it was 6:00 pm. What was on the menu was always Hot and Plentiful. If you were in the house when the announcement was made, she would be offended if you did not pull up a chair or bar stool to join the family. Many of the children in the neighborhood would somehow appear near or just before dinner was served.
David and Peggy enjoyed spending winters in Sebring, Florida, Summers in Hale, MI, vacationing with friends and booking passages on countless ships traveling the seven seas. Taught by her mother, her quilting skills were unmatched. She could finish a queen size quilt in under a month if given a request.
Peggy is Survived by her brother, Robert Bradshaw of Punta Gorda Florida, and her three sons. Michael (wife Mary), David and John Wagner along with Seven Grandchildren; Patrick (wife Taylor), Rachel (Husband James Poole), Sherry (Husband Jarred McMillan), Nicholas, Christopher, Benjamin (wife Macie) & Joseph. Preceded in death by her husband, David. Peggy's most recent gift of happiness came from holding her two Great Grandchildren, Cassidy Poole, and Parker Wagner. She would often say holding them made her feel young again. Watching her hold them left little doubt something was happening.
Peggy will be joining her late husband at the Great Lakes Veteran Cemetery, a private ceremony to be scheduled later.
