Mary was born on October 25, to Henry Raymond Hermans and Frances Brause Hermans, in Detroit Michigan. After many years of service, Mary retired from UMI, in Ann Arbor Mi.
Mary took joy in a great book, the coming of spring flowers and the hummingbirds that would flock to her balcony. She had a radiant smile and the energy and stamina of someone half her age.
Mary was a passionate and vigorous cook. Her roast beef dinners were legendary, and always eagerly anticipated by friends and family.
Taken from us far too soon, Mary is survived by: Her brother Fredrick Hermans, first cousins, Barbara Pierce, Diane Matsumoto, Noreen Eiss, Janet Rhodes, Joyce Hermans, and the larger; extended family.
Anyone wishing to honor Mary’s memory may do so by donating to The Humane Society of Huron Valley.
