Kenneth D. Penrose

Ken was born on December 7, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan. He spent much of his youth in Canada and graduated from Kennedy Collegiate Institute in Windsor, Ontario.

Before beginning his professional career, Ken proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as an engineering illustrator for General Motors, where he worked for 34 years until his retirement in 1987.

A gifted artist, Ken's creativity extended well beyond his profession through his love of drawing and clay sculpting. He also enjoyed tennis, pickleball, birdwatching, and spending time with his family.

Ken will be remembered not only for his artistic talent but also for his wonderful sense of humor. He had a quick wit, an easy smile, and a gift for making those around him laugh. His warmth, kindness, and playful spirit brought joy to family gatherings and everyday moments alike, leaving lasting memories that will continue to bring smiles for years to come.

Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Carol; his seven sons; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish his memory and the love, laughter, wisdom, and creativity he shared throughout his life.
