Kenneth K. Kammeraad, 89 of Portage, passed away on Thursday, June 18,2026 at Life Care Center Plainwell. The son of Bernard and Anna Kammeraad, he was born on January 24,1937 in Decatur. Ken retired from City of Kalamazoo, Department of Public Safety after 25 years and he was a member of First United Methodist Church, Lakeland, FL. Ken loved to cook, he loved to have family and friends in for a good fish fry, and enjoyed playing cards. He also loved to travel and encouraged friends and family to do while you can. He was preceded in death by his parents; Bernard and Anna and step-mother Frances. Surviving is his wife of 41 years Ann Brown Kammeraad his children, Dewayne (Pat) Kammeraad, Lori (Steve) Stonerock, Doug (Kathy) Kammeraad, Greg (Tonya) Kammeraad, Brenda (Dave) Baker Grandchildren and great grandchildren He is also survived By sister, Bernice Gwilt of Dowagiac, MI and brother, Keith Kammeraad, Port St. Lucie. Fl. Many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Richland Community Center, 9400 East CD Ave, Richland, MI 49024, on July 18, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. with a luncheon following.
