Joe graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School in 1975. He earned two journeyman cards in the skilled trades and retired from National Broach and Machine.
He was a loving husband to Bea-Casey Kaled for 37 years. He was a loving father to Kyle Kaled, whom he loved dearly. An avid sailor, Joe won first place the Port Huron to Mackinac race in 2003 and 2004. In his spare time, he loved to fish on Lake St. Clair and hunt deer in northern Michigan. Joe was also a talented woodworker who enjoyed hand-carving canes and turning wood bowls on his lathe. He had a magnetic attraction to animals and enjoyed bird-watching in quieter moments. He was also enthusiastic over rebuilding boat engines and fine tuning his boat.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Helen Kaled, and his brother, Bob Kaled. Joe was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
