JoAnn Kossuth

Born in Dearborn in 1932, she was the youngest child of the late Floyd and Louella (Jefferson) Kelley. As a Bloomfield resident for over fifty years, JoAnn enjoyed a full life raising her children, spoiling her grandchildren and pursuing her favorite hobbies of home decorating, entertaining and traveling. A supreme highlight of her empty nest years was being on the close knit office team of orthopedic surgeon Dr. Safa Kassab from which she “retired” at the age of 86!

JoAnn was a feisty, fun-loving, generous spirit, and a wonderfully loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. We wish her eternal peace.

She is survived by Otto, her husband of 75 years, daughter Kelly of Berkley, daughter Kristen (Christopher) Anderson of Jamestown, RI, grandchildren Vittoria and Achilles Kossuth, Ethan, Grant and Olivia Anderson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws Otto and Emily Kossuth, brother Elton (Wanda) Kelley, and sisters Dorothy (John) Esper, Virginia (Alec) Duncan, Maxine (Bud) Kelsey and Patsy Connelly.

Per JoAnn’s wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
