Hugh Thomas McShane, age 81, of Waterford Township, Michigan passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023. Hugh Thomas “Mike” McShane Hugh “Mike” McShane, age 81, passed away on March 16th, 2023 in Waterford MI. He was born June 26, 1941 in Lincoln IL, the son of Thomas McShane and Loretta (King) McShane. Mike graduated from Howell High School in 1958 and served his Country Honorably in Vietnam with the United States Army as a Military Policeman. Mike's career was spent in the grocery store management business for several local stores. He is remembered as friendly, well-liked, and an active community member. In his early years, Mike volunteered as a baseball coach and was the biggest and unconditional supporter of his children's lives and activities. As a grandfather, he was a staple at his grandchildren's football, baseball, hockey, and skating events. In addition, Mike was an avid golfer, bowler, and deceptively skilled poker player in his free time. All will dearly miss his kindness and easy sense of humor. In addition to his parents, Mike is predeceased by his sister, Patricia McShane. His family will fondly remember him; Elizabeth (Trzos) McShane, his son Phillip (Michelle) McShane, and his daughter Kelly (James) Doran; five grandchildren, Michael Doran, Holli McShane, Andrew McShane, Connor, McShane, Ryan McShane, and one great-granddaughter Emilia Simpson.
