George Leroy Bodman

GEORGE LEROY Bodman passed away on November 3rd 2026 at the Jackson County Medical Facility in Jackson Michigan The son of Edgar Lowel Bodman (Richard) And Virginia Palmer. He was born October 7th 1947 in Jackson Michigan.

He was a 67N30 In the United States Army, Helicopter Repairman/Crew Chief and He was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the Vietnam War from Sept 66 -Aug 67 and Jan 70-Jan 71. He collected Indian Items and at the JCMF he loved handing out candy bars to the staff.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edgar Lowel Bodman (Richard and Virginia Palmer and also his Spouse Susan Bodman and his Brothers Larry and Harold Palmer and Sister in law Mary Bodman and Brother in law Harold Sowle.

Surviving are his Brother Rusty Bodman, Dennis and Duane Palmer Sisters Diane Pederson and Edna Sowle. Also Surviving is his Sister in Law Mary (Hal) Granger and His Daughter Kelly (Orton) Coppernoll and his Grandson’s Joel (Jen) Coppernoll and Jeremy (Ashley) Coppernoll. Great grandkids Lillian, Allie, Stella, Beau, Austin and Lainee Coppernoll Several nieces and Nephews.

I want to give Special thanks to Unit 2 at the JCMF and the Doctors there and Hospice and his Hospice Nurse Rebecca and Garrett Dowell for all that you did for my father.

There will be a celebration of life November 21, 2026 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 612 301 Detroit Street Jackson MI 49201.
