Dale retired from Shaw Industries and was a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church of Calhoun, GA. In recent years, Dale was very active in his Georgia community. He sang in two separate gospel quartets, played baritone in the Northwest Georgia Winds, and was active in the Calhoun little theater as both lights and sound tech and an actor.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Dale is survived by his wife of 53 years Jacquelyn (Taylor) Seger, his son Sean Douglas Seger (Cindy), two daughters Heather Seger and Amber (Seger) Gerweck, 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, as well as two brothers Paul Seger (Georgette) of Morristown, TN and Aaron Seger of Deland, FL.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm with drop in available until 4 pm on October 4 at his home, 140 Sherman Street in Brooklyn, MI. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Dale Seger to the Scholarship Fund at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 224 Trammell Street, Calhoun, GA 30701.
