Craig Warren Lister

Craig Warren Lister, of Royal Oak, Michigan, passed away on November 4, 2026 at the age of 72. He leaves behind a family and many friends who will forever cherish his memory. A lifelong Royal Oak resident, Craig grew up in the community he called home. He attended Kimball High School, where he met his wife, Rose, and went on to Michigan State University. Go Spartans! He dedicated over 30 years of his career to AAA Insurance.

Craig was a caring and quick witted man who loved his family deeply. He had a way of making those around him feel special and cared for. His family was at the center of his life, and the memories we share will be treasured always.

Craig loved camping and canoeing with friends, going up North with family in the summers, and was an avid runner. You could most often find him watching football games or World War II documentaries, and he had a special appreciation for collecting vintage clocks, watches and radios. He had a deep enthusiasm and appreciation for the things he loved.

Craig will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 49 years, Rose; his daughter, Erica Sunyog (Rick); his grandson, Evan and his brother, Bryan Lister (Karen). He was also an uncle to much-loved nieces and nephews. Craig was preceded in death by his mother, Elvaretta, and his father, William.

Craig's laughter, kindness, and the many memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be forever missed and never forgotten.
