Born in Napoleon, North Dakota, Bonnie was the daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Schwartzenberger) Schwab. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy in Adrian, Michigan, and was a longtime member of St. Thomas the Apostle and St. Dunstan Catholic Churches in Garden City.
Throughout her life, Bonnie wore many hats, working as a nurse's aide, a retail clerk, and most important, caring for her home and family. She loved her flowers and roses. Also, she was a woman of many talents, especially when it came to baking and crafting. Her family and friends knew and loved her for the special things she created, the treats she baked, and the love she put into the little things. These are the memories that will continue to bring smiles to the faces of those who knew her.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim (James) Mathison; her parents; and all ten of her siblings.
She leaves behind her loving daughters, Connie (Pete) Fellman, Michelle (Jeff) Nizich, and Jackie (Jacqueline); her cherished granddaughter, Mikayla Fellman; sisters- and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.
Bonnie's life was filled with family, faith, hard work, and the simple joys of creating things with her hands and sharing them with others. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Memorial services are being arranged for early 2027.
