Roger lived a life defined by service, devotion, and an unwavering love for family and friends. Roger dedicated twenty distinguished years to the United States Air Force, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His military career was a testament to his discipline, leadership, and deep commitment to his country.
A lifelong learner, he also earned a Master of Business Administration degree, bringing the same determination to his academic pursuits that he carried throughout every endeavor. Following the military, he had a twenty year career in Domestic & International Sales, which gave him the opportunity to travel the world.
Known affectionately as "Rog" or "Cy" to those closest to him, he was a man of warmth, generosity, and boundless curiosity. He possessed a genuine love of travel, exploring new places and cultures with enthusiasm and wonder. His passion for food, whether preparing a meal in his own kitchen or discovering a new restaurant, was legendary among family and friends. He delighted in trying new cuisines and wines, turning every gathering into an occasion to savor. Roger was an avid jazz enthusiast whose appreciation for music enriched his life and the lives of those around him. On weekends, he could often be found cheering on his favorite football teams with equal parts joy and intensity. Above all, Roger was a loving and supportive husband, father, grandparent, brother, brother-in-law, and friend. His warmth and steadfast presence left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. He had an extraordinary ability to make others feel valued and welcomed, and his legacy of kindness will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Cyganek; his son, Kevin Cyganek; his daughter, Tori Bradley; and his sister, Susan Bennett. He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Angeline Cyganek.
The family takes comfort in the promise of eternal peace and the assurance that Roger now rests in the loving arms of his Creator.
