Joyce Spruce, 96, lived a long, full, and wonderfully memorable life. Born in Windsor, ON, Canada, Joyce spent most of her years in Troy, Michigan, before eventually making her home in Hudson, Florida.
If you knew Joyce, you knew she had a story—and she was always ready to tell it. She had a lifetime of funny, sometimes unbelievable, and always entertaining stories, and she loved sharing them with anyone who would listen. You could sit down with Joyce and never quite know where the conversation would lead, but you could almost guarantee there would be laughter along the way. Her stories were a part of who she was, and they will be some of the memories her loved ones treasure most.
Joyce had a special way of making people feel like family. Her warmth, humor, and genuine care made people feel welcome, loved, and at home.
Joyce is now beginning her next chapters, surrounded by those who preceded her in death. welcoming her in Heaven were her loving and devoted husband, Jack; her granddaughter, Michelle; and her great-grandson, Kameron. We can only imagine the stories Joyce has already begun sharing with them—and knowing Joyce, they are probably laughing together.
Left behind to carry on her memory are her daughter, Linda; grandson Brian and his wife, Patty; granddaughter April; great-grandchildren Kaylee, Elijah, and Lia; and great-great-grandson Lexton.
And now Joyce is writing her next chapters, with many more stories to share with all those who went before her. We can picture her settling in, getting comfortable, and telling them everything they missed—because Joyce always had a story to tell.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
