Ann devoted the early years of her life to her family, serving as a homemaker and supporting her husband throughout his 22 years of active-duty service in the United States Air Force. She embraced the many places and experiences that came with military life and took great pride in caring for her family and creating a loving home wherever they were stationed.
Following her years as a military wife and homemaker, Ann began a career with the State of Florida, where she was known for her strong work ethic, compassion for others, and willingness to help those who needed it.
Ann was a woman of many talents and interests. As a young woman, she was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Later in life, she became a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She was an accomplished quilter and seamstress, an excellent cook, a music enthusiast, and a voracious reader. She found joy in creating beautiful things with her hands, preparing meals for the people she loved, getting lost in a good book, and sharing her love of music.
Above all, Ann had a generous heart. She was passionate about helping others and, throughout her life, opened her home and her heart to many people who needed care, support, or simply a place to belong. She had a gift for making people feel welcome and cared for, and her compassion touched many lives.
Ann was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jeffrey; her parents, Nette Bell Taylor and Vernon O. Taylor; her brothers, Larry, Henry and Jimmy; and her sisters, Louise, Dee, and Rosa Lee, and Rebekah.

• Dawn and Dennis. Dawn is the parent of Noah, who is married to Jessica. They are the parents of Amelia..
Ann’s family will remember her not only as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, but as a woman who spent her life caring for others. Her creativity, generosity, strength, and love of family will live on through the many people whose lives she touched.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at Moncarmell Assisted Living Facility in Ruskin, Florida, for the care, kindness, and compassion they showed Ann and her family during her final days.
