

Doris Dubois Garry of Sun City Center, Florida passed away on June 3, 2026, at the age of 97. She was born on November 7, 1928 in Providence, Rhode Island where she grew up. Graduating from Cranston High School in 1945, she worked as a telephone operator for New England Telephone. Doris was actively involved in cribbage clubs and volunteer work with Hospice for over 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Bertha Dubois; siblings, Raymond Dubois and Mignon Smith; her children, Nancy Garry, Raymond Garry, Albert Garry and Susan Connor.
She will be remembered and missed by her children Dian Cullion, Ellen Raymond, and Alyse Garabedian, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Doris cherished time spent with family, especially the many summer vacations in Manomet, Massachusetts, where treasured memories were made with loved ones. In her younger years, she traveled extensively throughout the United States alongside her husband during his career as a jockey, embracing new places and adventures along the way. Her love of travel continued throughout her life, taking her to destinations around the world, including Paris, London, Hawaii, Alaska and Canada. These experiences brought her great joy and enriched her life with lasting memories and friendships.
The family would like to thank the Sun Terrace Rehabilitation Center, Nurse Cindy, Staff, and LifePath Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our Mom in her final days.
