Cheryl Lee Smith

Born on August 27, 1948, in Detroit Michigan, Cheryl never lost her love her home state. She cherished her trips back to Michigan to spend with family and friends and proudly cheered on her beloved Michigan Wolverines.

Cheryl worked as pharmacy technician, a role that reflected her caring nature and dedication to helping others. But more than anything, Cheryl was a phenomenal women who meant so much to so many. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, family member and a dear friend to many. She was always there for people she loved and never hesitated to help someone in need. She gave so much of herself to others, yet in true Cheryl fashion she never wanted anyone making a fuss over her or helping her in return. She had a beautiful smile and spirit., a wonderful sense of humor, and never hesitated to speak her mind,. Cheryl made friends wherever she went and touched countless lives through her kindness, generosity, strength, laughter and love. The impact she made on those fortunate enough to know and love her will never be forgotten.

Her family was the heart of her life, and nothing meant more to Cheryl than the people she loved, She was incredibly proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and treasured every moment she was able to spend with them. Whether surrounded by family and friends, sharing laughter, making memories or simply enjoying time together those were the moments she cherished most. The love she gave so freely, the memories she created, and the special place she held in each of our heats will remain with us forever.

Cheryl found happiness in golfing, shopping, traveling, and spending time with the people she loved. She especially enjoyed returning to Michigan to visit family and friends and proudly cheering on her beloved Michigan Wolverines. But some of Cheryls greatest joy came from watching her family grow and being there for the moments that mattered most. She was the kind of mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who always showed up. She proudly supported her children and grandchildren through out their lives, celebrating school events, accomplishments special milestones and college graduations along the way. That same love carried on to her great-grandchildren as she loved watching Jordyn shine in all star cheerleading and treasured watching little Kennedy grow and become her own special little person. Whether it was a major milestone, a special occasion, or simply time spent together. Cheryl took great pride in her family and their accomplishments. She also adored her beloved dogs “her boys”, Koda and Milo, and her newest girl Amber who brought so much love and companionship into her life. These were the people, places and moments that filled Cheryl’s life with happiness and created memories that will forever be treasured by those who loved her.

Cheryl believed in God and carried her faith in her heart. She valued family, love, kindness, and caring for others,. Her greatest blessing were her family and loved ones, and she cherished every moment and memory she made with them.

She will be lovely remember by her daughters, Louise Malyszek (Donald Ball) and Bridget (Malyszek) Cox; her sister Claudette (Voss) Cashero; her sister in law Sharon (Luttermoser) Voss; her granddaughters , Torie (Ball) Henry (Andrew Henry), Tyra Ball (Kenneth Mullikin), Taylor Ball, Jamie Cox, Candice Colwell, Austin Colewell; and great-granddaughters , Jordyn Henry, Kennedy Grey Mullikin and Rayven Cox.

She was preceded in death by her father, Victor E Voss; her mother, Margaret E Werner ;, her brother, Bill Voss, Bob Voss, Richard Voss, and Victor Voss; and her sister , Peggy (Voss) Palloni.

Our family will forever cherish the memories, laughter and love Cheryl gave so freely. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always carried in our hearts.
