Sharon Ann Jandorf

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Violet Zimnitzki, and sister Maxine and brother-in-law Hank.

She is survived by her partner of thirty-seven years and wife of ten, Christine Hupman, as well as two sons and their wives, Richard and Elaine, Robert and Carrie. Shel is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Joseph. Sharon also leaves behind three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Sharon loved working with seniors during her career, first with the Baltimore County Department of Aging and then managing operations for paratransit organizations in Baltimore and Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Sharon was an avid football fan and loved the Baltimore Ravens. She loved sea turtles, dachshunds, and traveling. She broke ground as one of the first women to be a coach as well as an umpire in the Baltimore County Little League. She was outspoken in her support for women’s rights and served as president of Baltimore NOW for several years.

A memorial service will be held at Celebration of Life Presbyterian Church at 1pm on October 31st (2530 S Alma School Rd, Mesa, Arizona 85210, United States).

The family requests donations to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary Kanab, Utah, in lieu of flowers.
