

In loving memory of Patricia Anne Hickey, who passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 90 after a sudden illness. Born on July 24, 1936, in Boston, Massachusetts to James and Anne Dunne. Pat’s life was a testament to her vibrant spirit, dedication to others, and deep love for her family and community.
Pat pursued her passion for helping others by attending Nursing School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, which set the stage for a long and fulfilling career in healthcare. As a registered nurse, she shared her knowledge and compassion with countless students. She managed a hospital in Boston, and became a CNA. instructor leaving behind a legacy of excellence and care.
On June 13, 1959, Pat married the love of her life, John Hickey. Pat was predeceased by her beloved husband John, her son David Hickey, and cherished grandson Jeffrey Quinn, as well as her brothers Paul Dunne and Jim Dunne. Her enduring love and memory live on through her surviving sons, James Turnbull, Michael Hickey, and Dennis Hickey daughter -in laws Karen Destefano Cindy Turnbull , Karen Hickey and Angela Desfosses, grandchildren Samantha Lower and husband Thomas Lower, Christina Hickey, TJ Kelly and his wife Andrea Kelly, James Hickey and Anastasia Hickey—and her great-grandchildren, Tommi Lower and Ben Kelly.
Pat's zest for life extended beyond her professional achievements. A former professional ballroom dancer, she never lost her passion for dance. In 2025, she entered the Dancing Like the Stars Competition and brought home the Mirrorball Trophy. She was also an enthusiastic participant in Zumba, line dancing, and body combat, activities at her gym.
A devoted community member, Pat was an active participant in the Democratic Women of Southeast Arizona and dedicated her time to volunteering at the Salvation Army. Her social nature and love for people made her a cherished friend to many.
Her family invites those who wish to honor her memory to consider a donation to the Salvation Army.
Patricia’s legacy of love, compassion, and exuberance will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a world made brighter by her presence and a family eternally grateful for having had her as their guiding light.
