Vincent Allen Goss, 81, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away on May 29, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, adventure, and love for family.
Vincent was born to Robert Oscar Goss and Sylvia Ann Goss on July 26, 1944. He was raised on a farm, where he developed the strong work ethic that would define his life. He spent much of his early years as a dairy farmer as well as farming more than 500 acres. He also dedicated nearly 40 years of his career to Owens Illinois as a mold maker and machinist, earning the respect of his coworkers through his skill, dedication, and craftsmanship.
Vincent was preceded in death by his father, Robert Goss; his mother, Sylvia Goss; his sister, Linda Brazier; and his brother, Jim Goss.
Vincent was married to the love of his life, Linda S. Goss, with whom he shared many years of love, partnership, and adventure. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and creating lasting memories.
He was a devoted father to Teresa Sykes (Adam), Rachel Goss, David Goss (Patte), Johnny Blankley (Kathy), Lisa Wheeler (Gary), Michele Barker (Matthew), and Aaron Blankley. He was also the proud grandfather of 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. Nothing brought Vincent greater joy than spending time with his children and grandchildren, sharing stories, teaching life lessons, and creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Vincent was a man who never met a stranger. His warm smile, welcoming personality, and genuine interest in others made friends wherever he went. He was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need, offer advice, or share the knowledge he had gained throughout his life. Whether teaching someone how to care for their yard, fix something that was broken, or simply encouraging them through a difficult time, Vincent found joy in helping others.
Outside of work, Vincent embraced life with enthusiasm. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson, traveling to new places, spending time at the beach, working in his yard, walking, bicycling, practicing at the shooting range, and boating. He especially enjoyed hopping on his motorcycle and setting off to explore the open road, always eager to discover new places and meet new people along the way.
Those who knew Vincent will remember his generous heart, his willingness to help anyone, his love of adventure, and his ability to make people feel like family. His lessons, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A Celebration of Life honoring Vincent will be held in Florida on November 21, 2026.
Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, hard work, generosity, and curiosity for the world will continue through his family, friends, and all the lives he touched.
Our parting is not the end of our relationship, only an interruption. We have not “lost” them, because we know where they are. They are experiencing the joy of Christ’s presence in a place so wonderful that Christ called it paradise. And one day, we’re told, in a magnificent reunion, they and we “will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4:17-18)
