George Enrique Valldejuli

George Enrique Valldejuli, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, entrepreneur, and friend, passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 74, following a courageous six-year battle with cancer.

George was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on April 10, 1952, to Jorge Valldejuli and Betty Jimenez, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his beloved sister, Marta Valldejuli and nephew Jorge Matos and first cousin Antonio López.

On January 31, 1970, George married the love of his life, Rosario Khury Persia. Together, they shared more than 56 years of marriage and built a beautiful family. Rosario survives him, along with their two children, Lynnette Valldejuli Mentlick and Jorge “Bruse” Valldejuli.

George was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. His four grandchildren, Brandon Mentlick, Kassandra Mentlick, Rosa Mentlick, and Frankie Mentlick were his pride and joy. They adored their Papa, and he adored them just as deeply. They spent countless hours together, shared experiences, laughter, meals, and memories that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. They traveled the world together because Papa took them, creating memories across many places that will never be forgotten.

George was also deeply loved by his extended family. He leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Perla Khury Corominas and her husband, Hector Corominas; Nancy Khury; and Soraya Khury Goldar and her husband, Dr. Jose Manuel Goldar, as well as Zaquia Lopez, niece by marriage. They loved George dearly and were a constant source of love and support to him.

George was also loved and cherished by his son Jorge “Bruse” Valldejuli’s fiancée, Maysel Estevez, who became an important part of the family and loved and supported George throughout his journey.

George was a true entrepreneur and a hardworking businessman whose career took him across countries and industries. He spent many years living in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where he owned and operated multiple carpet businesses, building his entrepreneurial career and establishing himself in the flooring industry.

He later moved to the United States and worked in the commercial carpet industry in Springfield, Virginia, before continuing to build his own businesses. He became the owner of Viva Tile & Carpet in Altamonte Springs and Orlando, where he continued his success in the flooring industry. He later expanded into construction as the owner of GE Construction, always finding a way to create, build, and pursue his next opportunity.

His entrepreneurial spirit eventually brought him to Kissimmee, Florida, where he took on his final business venture, renovating and operating the Liberty Inn. George was a hustler in the very best sense of the word; he was always working, always dreaming, and always looking for the next adventure.

But there was much more to George than his work.

He was generous, funny, strong, hardworking, full of life, and always ready to have a good time. He loved good food, good restaurants, cooking, eating, drinking, and enjoying life with the people he loved. He had a personality that made people remember him, and he knew how to enjoy the moments that mattered.

One of his favorite places in the world was the beach. He loved sitting by the ocean, listening to the waves, breathing in the ocean air, and simply relaxing. Those peaceful moments by the water reflected something beautiful about George; beneath all of his energy, ambition, and hard work, he knew how to stop and enjoy life.

George’s greatest strength, however, was his determination.

After being diagnosed with cancer, he was told that he might have only several months to live. George refused to accept that timeline. He fought for six years, never giving up and continuing to live, love, laugh, work, eat, travel, and make memories with his family for as long as he could.

That fight was a reflection of the man he had always been: strong, determined, and unwilling to give up.

George leaves behind a family who is incredibly grateful for the years, memories, laughter, love, and lessons he gave them. His children, grandchildren, wife, sister, family, and friends will carry his memory forward and continue telling the stories that made him who he was.

His grandchildren will forever remember him as Papa.

His family will forever remember his strength.

And everyone who knew him will remember a man who worked hard, loved hard, laughed hard, ate well, enjoyed life, and never gave up.

George was deeply loved. He fought bravely. He lived fully. And he will be missed more than words can express.

A Celebration of Life honoring George Enrique Valldejuli will be held on: Tuesday, August 25, 2026, National Cremation & Burial Society, 7565 Red Bug Lake Road, Oviedo, FL 32765. Public Viewing: 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM. Celebration of Life Service: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests houseplants or outdoor plants. A living plant would be a meaningful way to honor George’s memory and allow his family to continue watching something grow in his honor.

George Enrique Valldejuli, amado esposo, padre, abuelo, hermano, tío, empresario y amigo, falleció el 11 de agosto de 2026, a la edad de 74 años, después de una valiente batalla de seis años contra el cáncer.

George nació en Ponce, Puerto Rico, el 10 de abril de 1952, hijo de Jorge Valldejuli y Betty Jimenez, quienes fallecieron antes que él. Le sobreviven su querida hermana, Marta Valldejuli, y su sobrino, Jorge Matos

el primo hermano Antonio López.

Era generoso, divertido, fuerte, trabajador, lleno de vida y siempre estaba dispuesto a pasarla bien. Le encantaba la buena comida, los buenos restaurantes, cocinar, comer, beber y disfrutar de la vida con las personas que amaba. Tenía una personalidad que hacía que la gente lo recordara, y sabía disfrutar de los momentos que realmente importaban.

Uno de sus lugares favoritos en el mundo era la playa. Le encantaba sentarse junto al océano, escuchar las olas, respirar el aire del mar y simplemente relajarse. Esos momentos de paz junto al agua reflejaban algo hermoso de George: debajo de toda su energía, ambición y arduo trabajo, sabía detenerse y disfrutar de la vida.

Sin embargo, la mayor fortaleza de George era su determinación.

Después de ser diagnosticado con cáncer, le dijeron que quizá solo le quedaban varios meses de vida. George se negó a aceptar ese pronóstico. Luchó durante seis años, sin rendirse jamás, y continuó viviendo, amando, riendo, trabajando, comiendo, viajando y creando recuerdos con su familia durante todo el tiempo que pudo.

Esa lucha fue un reflejo del hombre que siempre había sido: fuerte, decidido y negándose a darse por vencido.

George deja una familia profundamente agradecida por los años, los recuerdos, las risas, el amor y las enseñanzas que les regaló. Sus hijos, nietos, esposa, hermana, familiares y amigos llevarán su memoria consigo y continuarán contando las historias que hicieron de George el hombre que fue.

Sus nietos siempre lo recordarán como Papa.

Su familia siempre recordará su fortaleza.

Y todos los que lo conocieron recordarán a un hombre que trabajó duro, amó intensamente, rió con ganas, comió bien, disfrutó de la vida y nunca se rindió.

George fue profundamente amado. Luchó con valentía. Vivió plenamente. Y será extrañado más de lo que las palabras pueden expresar.

Una Celebración de Vida en honor a George Enrique Valldejuli se llevará a cabo el: Martes, 25 de agosto de 2026, National Cremation & Burial Society, 7565 Red Bug Lake Road, Oviedo, FL 32765. Velatorio: 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM. Servicio de Celebración de Vida: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

En lugar de flores, la familia solicita amablemente plantas de interior o plantas para el exterior. Una planta viva sería una manera significativa de honrar la memoria de George y permitir que su familia continúe viendo crecer algo en su honor.
