Cheryl Baker of Deltona, Florida passed away on August 9, 2026 at the age of 70. She was born in Columbus, Ohio where she grew up with her mother, father and three siblings. She married the late Richard Ozley, gaining a son, and then having two more children. Some years after their divorce she married the late Jean Baker where she gained another son and daughter. After Jean's passing, she met Charles (Charlie) Vance, Jr., who she shared her life with until her own passing. As in her true style, she viewed his children with love and would be said to have gained two more sons. Throughout her life she worked various secretarial or accounting positions until settling into a healthcare career as a medical assistant. This is where she shined as her passion was always caring for others. Cheryl loved arts and crafts, reading, attempting to grow plants, being outdoors, traveling, and planning family gatherings, but most of all her world centered around her family.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Doris Keifer, her father, Emory Keifer, her sisters Karen Maynard and Amanda Painter, and her husband Jean Baker.
She is survived by her remaining sibling Daryl Keifer (Patricia Keifer), her partner Charles Vance Jr., and her children Christina Ozley (Brian Kowlessar), Timothy Ozley, Rodney Ozley (Katherine Ozley), Blair Baker (Amanda Baker), Sandy Baker, Justin Vance (Jessica Vance), and Tyler Vance. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
