David Allen Reese

A veteran of the U.S. Army, David was born and raised in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, where he was a three-sport athlete in high school. He earned a football scholarship to Franklin & Marshall College and later received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University.

David began his professional career with General Motors in Detroit, Michigan, before relocating to New Jersey, where he spent the next 25 years with Merck & Co. in real estate and facilities management.

While living in Marlboro, New Jersey, he was deeply involved in the town's youth recreation programs, serving as Vice Chairman of the Marlboro Recreation Department and as Head Coach of Coaches for the Marlboro Pop Warner Football Program. Known throughout the community as "Coach Reese," he especially enjoyed working with young, first-time football players, teaching them the fundamentals of the game. Over the years, he received numerous awards in recognition of his dedication to the children of Marlboro.

David "attempted" to retire to Naples, Florida, in 2000, but soon accepted an opportunity to manage a major pharmaceutical project overseas. The position allowed him to live and travel throughout several European cities. He ultimately retired in 2010 and devoted his time to improving his golf game while building lasting friendships in the Heritage Bay community.

David is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Gail; his daughters, Dawn of Lake Wylie, South Carolina, and Robin of Viera, Florida; his sons, Mike of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, and Don of Bradley Beach, New Jersey; six grandchildren, Megan, Brendon, Sasha, Gabrielle, Chris, and Danny; and two great-grandchildren, Skylar and Jettson.

Services and interment will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, Pennsylvania, on a future date.
