Beatrice Luiz

Beatrice Luiz passed on September 2, 2026, at the age of 94, born June 14, 1932, and was a resident of Bonita Springs, Florida. She was born in Plainfield Connecticut to Joseph and Germain Bedard on June 14, 1932. Beatrice was married on October 6, 1951, to Alvaro Luiz at St Kilian's Church in New Bedford, Massachusetts. She worked as a supervisor in the textile factory for over 30 years. Beatrice loved to play cards, going to the pool to swim and organizing bocce. Beatrice is preceded in death by her beloved husband Alvaro Luiz and her son James Luiz. She is survived by her daughters Joan Luiz and Barbara Rivard, sister's Doris Bedard and Edna Bent and brother Ernest Bedard. Her loving grandsons: Scott (Jill) Rivard, Keith (Jamie) Rivard, Timothy (Zan) Luiz, cousin Rose Coughlin, Daughter in law Maureen Luiz and great granddaughter Olivia Rivard. Beatrice is further survived by many loving family and friends. Donations are appreciated to Hope Hospice. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, September 16th at 11:00 AM at St. Leo Catholic Church, located at 28290 Beaumont Rd, Bonita Springs, Florida 34134.
