

Mary Ann's career was marked by her involvement in sales with numerous vendors, including Danskin, Hello Kitty, and Liz Claiborne. She worked for several well-known organizations such as JC Penny, Belk, and Kohls. Her talents were particularly evident in designing and setting up visual layouts for showcasing merchandise. Mary Ann had a special fondness for Christmas, which she celebrated with great enthusiasm.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Genevieve DeVille, and her son, Ian DeVille. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Chris McGinnis, and dear friends, David Jung and Sheila Yost. Her beloved pets, cats Caleb and Peter, and her horse, Tempi, were also a cherished part of her family. She was preceded in death by her sister, Katherine McGinnis Tilly, her brother, Gerrard McGinnis, and her parents, Herman Garrard McGinnis and Virginia Lee Brannon McGinnis.
In her personal life, Mary Ann enjoyed caring for her animals, particularly horseback riding, grooming, and spending time with her horse, Tempi. She remained devoted to her horse until the very end and was known for rescuing local cats, demonstrating her unwavering compassion for animals.
Mary Ann was strong in her beliefs and enjoyed reminiscing about her youthful days. She was remembered as being ornery, a testament to her spirited nature.
The family extends their gratitude and patience to the staff of Wellstar Hematology / Oncology, especially Leaha, for their compassionate care. Mary Ann believed that caring for one another is so important and deeply appreciated those who had shown that unwavering love regardless of disability or social status.
A private scattering will take place in the future to honor Mary Ann's final wishes. In lieu of flowers, please consider walk in donations of blankets, pet food, toys, funds to the Paulding County Animal Control. While you are there, please consider rescuing a cat or dog.
