Thomas Green

Thomas Green passed on July 12, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on September 18, 1964, Thomas was a resident of Acworth, Georgia. Born and raised in Virginia, he later moved to New Jersey and attended Plainfield High School, where his steady commitment to academics showed early—right down to being member of the library club. While in Virginia, Thomas became a life long Steelers fan from time spent watching games with his grandfather, Marshall Green.

Thomas shared his life with his wife, Pamela, whom he married on January 11, 1985. Together they raised two daughters, Shantal and Cierra. He took education seriously, and that seriousness had a way of showing up not as pressure, but as purpose—an insistence that what mattered should be done well, and done with care.

A proud marksman and mechanic of the US Army, Thomas was stationed in Germany during his service, an experience that sparked a shared love of travel for the family—proof that sometimes the biggest adventures begin with official orders and end with lifelong stories. Wherever he went, he carried a practical devotion to people: he was known for being almost militant about yard work and instilling caring for others around you.

Thomas worked as a Consultant for Verizon, bringing diligence and steadiness to his work. He was a business owner, the most recent being Word of Mouth Que which allowed him to share his passion for barbecue with the community. He also served as a missionary, mainly in South Africa, and worshiped at World Harvest Church in Roswell, GA. Through Street Reach, he helped local and inner city youth of Atlanta, giving his time in ways that were direct, grounded, and quietly transformative.

At home, Thomas found joy in the honest satisfactions of a well-kept yard and a thriving garden. He tended a vegetable garden and shared its harvest with others, as if generosity were simply part of the growing season. He also enjoyed fishing—one more place where patience, good humor, and a little hope could all sit together in the same quiet moment. And if you were lucky enough to be nearby, you likely heard the sound of his laughter too; Thomas enjoyed making others laugh, and he had a way of lightening a room without ever making life feel small.

Thomas' memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Pamela Sue Green; daughters, Shantal and Cierra Green; brother, Craig; sisters, Michelle, Debbie, Tammy, and Natalie; mother, Beatrice Baylis and her husband, Nathaniel; and father, Bill Reed.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 11:00 AM at World Harvest Church, 320 Hardscrabble Road, Roswell, GA 30075.
