Jeffrey Allen Knight, also known as Jeff, passed away on June 27, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on February 9, 1954, Jeff lived with a steady devotion to the people he loved most, and those who knew him will remember a man who kept his life centered where it mattered—at home, with family, and in the quiet faithfulness of everyday care.
A private person by nature, Jeff didn’t seek attention, yet left a lasting impression through the simple strength of his character. He was focused on his family, and he was a loving father, and a good, decent man whose steadiness brought comfort to those around him. People liked Jeff because he was genuine and funny—reliable, grounded, and easy going.
Jeff was a hard worker and a good provider, taking pride in doing things the right way and seeing responsibilities through. He worked for 19 years at Sears and nearly 25 years at Costco, building a life defined by persistence and dependability. His quiet focus and stability were evident not only in his work, but in the way he carried himself—measured, thoughtful, and committed.
Outside of work, Jeff found joy in the things that felt true to him. He loved NASCAR, good BBQ, and boating—something he had loved since childhood—and he especially enjoyed being out on the water. He also took real pride in caring for his home, finding satisfaction in the simple, steady work of keeping things in order and well tended.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 40 years, Debra "Debbie" Sue Knight; daughters, Jennifer Trares (Timothy N. Trares) and Brittany Echemendia (Kevin Echemendia); grandchildren, Brandie, Theodore, Aiden, Melanie, Connor, and Emma; and sister Cathy Stewart (Tim Stewart).
Those who loved Jeff will miss his quiet presence, his unwavering dedication, and the calm steadiness he brought to the lives around him. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the love he showed in a thousand unspoken ways.
