Born in Reidsville, North Carolina, Wanda Sue Roberts lived a life marked by faith, love, laughter, and devotion to her family and friends. She made Houston, Texas, her home for more than 40 years, where she built a fulfilling career as a telecommunications professional and, above all, was a loving and devoted mother.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Our Lady of the Lake University, reflecting her lifelong appreciation for learning. An avid reader with a sharp wit, she had a wonderful sense of humor and a laugh that could brighten any room. She was also a longtime fan of Doctor Who and found great joy in spending time with her beloved dog, ZZ, and cat, Bruce.
A faithful follower of Christ, she lived with compassion, kindness, and grace, finding strength and hope in her faith throughout her life.
She is survived by her loving son, Troy Hill, and his wife, Stacey Hill, of Mooresville, Indiana; her cherished granddaughters, Joanna Hill and Jennifer Hill; her mother, Barbara Ann Jones; her sisters, Sheree Russo, Annette Webb, Melanie Estandia, and Trina Dziewior; her dear friends, Debra and Joe Rincones; and her beloved pets, ZZ and Bruce.
She was preceded in death by her beloved partner, Erwin Tilonsky; her father, Ralph Donald Roberts; and her brother, Ralph Roberts Jr.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the promise of eternal life found in Scripture:
"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?'"
John 11:25–26
